Speeding Appeals
It has become easier to lose your licence in the past decade by the accumulation of demerit points for speeding offences. Double demerit periods and increased demerit points for certain speeding offences have contributed to this. There are also automatic suspension periods for speeding over 30km/h.
Speeding Penalties in NSW
Usually if you are caught speeding, whether it be by a Police Officer, fixed speed camera or mobile speed camera you will receive an infringement/penalty notice, incur a fine and lose points from your licence. Provisional 1 licence holders incur an automatic 3 month suspension for any speeding offence.
If you need to retain your license to drive or minimise your suspension period contact one of our experienced traffic lawyers on (02) 9547 1733.
